Types, Validity & How to Get Certified

Whether you are applying for workplace compliance, childcare roles, or personal preparedness, understanding how certification works — including validity period, renewal rules, and verification options — is essential.

What happens when the certificate expires?
Once the certificate expires, you are not officially recognized as a certified first aider. In the workplace, this may mean an immediate effect on compliance status, especially in the event of a safety audit, insurance verification, or MOM inspection.

If it expires, you must retake the full course.
